Also known as implicit social cognition, implicit bias refers to the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner. The goal of the program is to provide participants with a basic understanding of implicit bias that they will be motivated to expand upon after the two hour workshop. Dr. Adwoa Akhu is the author of several books; her most recent is Nourishing Your Soul : A Simple Guide Spiritual Guide to Inner Peace. Dr. Akhu is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in the field for over twenty years It is Dr. Akhu’s rare blend of professional experience and education mixed with personal knowledge and wisdom that helps her so effectively reach, teach, and inspire others.
